Claritas Environmental was founded on the principle that clients benefit from direct access to technical expertise. By combining sound science, clear communication, and a practical understanding of environmental regulations and decision-making processes, Claritas Environmental helps clients navigate complex environmental issues and achieve successful project outcomes.
Location
Based in Nanaimo, British Columbia, Claritas Environmental provides services throughout British Columbia and beyond. We are grateful to live and work within the traditional territory of the Snuneymuxw First Nation and to collaborate on projects throughout the territories of Indigenous Peoples across Canada.
Who We Are
Claritas Environmental was found by Mathew Coady, a Registered Professional Biologist (R.P.Bio.) with more than 16 years of experience providing environmental consulting services across Canada and the United States. His background includes contaminated site assessment, human health and ecological risk assessment, natural resource damage assessment, and many other environmental quality and regulatory support services.
Mathew is passionate about supporting clients manage environmental contamination using practical, science-based solutions. Through clear communication and a collaborative approach, Mathew helps clients and project stakeholders understand technical information, align on project objectives, and make informed decisions that support successful outcomes.
Mathew has delivered numerous presentations and technical workshops to government, public, and technical audiences on topics such as contaminants in food and wastewater, human health and ecological risk assessment, and the assessment and management of new and emerging contaminants, with a particular focus on per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS).
